In Bronx, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bronx peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Phenomenally friendly family run business and really good margarita pizza. Lots of other Italian deli and grocery and dessert options.

Stopped in for a chicken parm hero and some fresh mozzarella since in the area. Very delicious hero. Finished in no time. The cheese was fresh and thick. Good consistency. Not so wet and gooey if you know what I mean. I enjoyed at my work desk the next week.

First time ordering from here bc the reviews were good. I ordered a margarita pizza and chicken parm. The food arrived cold, the pizza crust was thick and undercooked, and there was not even a speck of cheese on the chicken parmβ it was sauce, chicken and soggy bread. The flavor was ok but bland. When I called, the lady I spoke to tried to tell me itβs all mixed in so I needed to ask for extra cheese. Never in my life have I heard such a thing. When you say parm thereβs an expectation of sauce and mozz. This wasnβt that. Was hoping to find a new Italian go to spot but ended up disappointed. (They didnβt call back but I saw later that they did initiate a refund.)

Great eggplant parm for lunch came with a large chunk of bread. The deli counter is over the top! We are out of towners and had never had a true Italian deli experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The variety of available panettone was very generous! Came away with a limoncello cake for later

I have been coming to this deli for years, and the atmosphere is so welcoming and cozy. The food is high quality and delicious! π You can find an array of imported pastas, sauces, olives, cheese, cookies and other great treasures. If you come during lunch time, you will most likely have to wait in line- because this deli is THAT popular. But if you come during breakfast time- or late afternoon, youβll be able to enjoy your meal quietly. The owner, Giancarlo, is an absolute sweetheart- and his wife is just as friendly. πThe cooks and staff are all very personable and will do their best to accommodate your requests. The woman at the cash register doesnβt seem too happy with her job- and itβs best to double check the total on your order- I have been overcharged more than once. Other than that, the service is fantastic- and I highly recommend anyone visiting Arthur Avenue to come check out the shine of this wonderful establishment. β¨
